L1a revalidation in USA?

i am on L1a visa since 3 yrs and my third year visa expires in november2004.now as per the new visa rules do i have to go back to india and renew my visa and then comeback or what does this new notice on july16 dedline really mean.
pls reply as soon as possible.

The notice means that after the July 16, 2004 deadline, you can no longer apply for visa revalidation in the US. Remember that is concerns only VISAS, not I-94's.

i still didn't understand you sir,pls throw more light. do i need to extend my 1-94 or my visa as i am already on my L1.
the bottom line is can i extend my visa while in usa or i have to go back .
as i have a daycare business and if i have to renew my visa in india then its impossible now as they won't let me comeback and i cannot handover my business to nayone else while i go.its pretty dicey.
hence can u let me know whether i can extend my visa while in usa or not.
in the mean time my wife is on L2 and we are applying for her H1B visa for the safeguard.
