L1 without an academic degree

Hi,

I hold managers position within my company in Norway since two years back, and they now want to transfer me to another managers position in our US branch. I hold no academic degree and I wonder whether this might be a problem or not in getting a L1-a visa?

L visa requirements are in a way different from H visa where there more scrutiny about academic credentials.
If you have held managerial positions outside US and if you will be in a responsible position to hire or fire employees and can provide proof of it, it may be alright.
