Hi,

First up, thanks and congratulations for providing this wonderful website as a service to the community. I am sure a lot of people benefit from this.

I'd like to get some advice on my situation:

I have been in the US since July 2005 on L1, and now have an opportunity to be promoted and this will require temporarily relocation to our office in India.

Q1. How does this affect my L1 status? My L1 is based on a blanket petition and validity is until July 2008.

Q2. My wife is a flight attendant with a leading US airliner and wishes to continue to work with them. Is she eligible to retain and continue working on L2?

In case relevant, both of us are citizens of Canada and are eligible for dual citizenship of India (applied for). I worked at the Canada office from 2000 to 2005, the L1 was issued for transfer from Canada to the US. I was originally hired by the company's India office in 1999 and worked for a year at the India office before moving to Canada.

Thanks,
Ribhu
