L1 Urgent help needed

Hello,

I am a Swiss citizen and wish to move to the US to start a new business. Can I setup a Swiss company and work for it for a year and then demand a L1 to move to the US to start the new US company? How long will I have to wait before applying for a GC?

that would be the way to do it, but check with an attorney to make sure if the foreign copany (suiss company) can be just year old, i believe it has to be at least 3, but not sure.
you can apply for GC after a year with L1

How about if I already have a business in the UK that is 5 years old. Could I get in to the US with an L visa by setting up a branch of my UK business in the US? How can I do this?
