L1 to H1B

Hi,

I am currently looking for a new job and in search of a company to sponsor my H1B visa. I am on a L1 visa and am trying to apply for a H1B visa before April 1 this year.

My spouse is currently on L2 visa (dependant) and will be applying for his F1 visa shortly (around July this year) from our native country. He has been admitted into a US business school.

My husband has completed his first H1B visa duration of 6 years.
He is a MS graduate from an American University.

I have couple of queries-

1.

Once I apply for my H1B, can I step out of the country to accompany my spouse to my native country?
2.

Since I would have already applied for my H1B, will it hinder his chances of getting his F1 approved?

As far as I know,
1) Yes, you can step out of the country.
2) No, it won't affect on his F1, but isn't a good idea to have him on H4, while you will be on H1. (just a suggestion).
