L1 to H1B special case

Hi,

I am currently working on an L1 visa for Employer A for the past 2 years in US. Employer B has sponsored a fresh H1B visa for me and I got a H1B approval notice from USCIS.
I know if I transfer from L1 to H1B with in US, above 2 years will be counted against 6 years of clock. But If I go to India, and come back in new H1B (after getting stamping on the new H1B), Will I be able to stay for another 6 years from the day I come to US? My question is, when it is considered for the clock of 6 yrs will my previous 2 yrs (L1) also be included, even if I come in new H1B now?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Krish

H/L visa is counted together. Total duration is 5 years for L1-B, 6 years for H1-B and 7 years for L1-A.

The only way to reset H/L visa clock is to be out of US for continuous 365 days.
