Greetings!
I am currently working for company A on a L1 visa. My H1 (I-797) is valid from Oct 1st, 2007 which was filed by company B.
1. If I continue to work for company A due to unavoidable circumstances and decide not to join company B, will my L1 status be cancelled from Oct 1st as my H1 is valid from the same date?
2. If I submit my resignation during early September in company A, what would be the grace period as I am on a L1 visa? Can I avail a grace period of about 20 days and join the company B from Oct 1st as I have an approved H1 from company B?
3. If I submit my resignation during early October in company A, I will have to serve a notice period of 4 weeks. Can I join the company B in November with whom I have a valid H1? Is it illegal to stay on L1 after Oct 1st for one more month till November and join company B on H1 in Nov?
