Right now my L1 is approved and my company is filing for a transfer from L1 to H1B.
While my L1 to H1b is in process can I travel to India and comeback? Still my H1b would be approved ?

L1B is valid for another two years.
L1 to H1 in process. Is it advisable to travle while L1 to H1 is in process?

Hi Guys,

Can you please advice me on the following questions too

I am in US , currently on L1 B on an active assignment, which is valid till Sept 2005 and planning to file for new H1 for 2005

1. Once my H1 petition get approved, from that point onwards would my status change or my status will only change when I start working under that employer who sponsered my H1 ?

2. Will my current employer know that my H1 is getting processed ?

3. Once my H1 petition get approved, how long could I stay still stay on the current project/company without working for the employer who sponsered my H1 ? In that case what is the maximum time span in which I can have the H1 and still not work for the employer ?

4. If my H1 petition gets rejected, would that affect my current VISA (L1B) /assignment ?
