Hello All,
I came on L1 visa and changed to some other company on H1 visa. But my L1 visa I-94 got expired 2 years back and i am on H1 now but without stamping in my passport. I have to apply for H1 extension in this july as it is getting expired in August 2003.
Only i have got L1 stamped in my passport and since it is a change of status from L1 to H1 , I have to go to my home country-INDIA to get H1 stamped in my passport.
I am planning to go to india in december with new H1 extension documents.
So, will there be any problem at US Consulate at chennai as i haven't got my first H1 stamped in my passport and I will be getting my H1 extension visa stamping in my passport??
Same things holds good for my wife also who is on H4 visa now.
Please post your replies as i am in sme tension.
