Hi currently I am on L1 visa for company A. Company B has filed H1 and it is approved. Legally I can work on H1 from october only.
1) If I decide to leave my existing company "A" in mid September around 15 Sep and join company "B" on H1 in October, can I stay meanwhile in US for one month/15 days on B1 visa. My immigration which i got because of L1 is valid for 2011.
2)Whether my L1 becomes inactive as soon as I leave the company "A" or there is any grace period?
3) My wife is accompanying me on L2 visa. She also has valid B1 visa. So can she also stay like me for a month or 15 days on B1 visa?
4) What is change of status for H1 B. Does it mean effecitve date or something else?
