Hi,
I'm working for Company A on L1-B visa & company B filed my H1-B. L1 to H1 transfer was approved but we did not receive the I-94 even though it was specified in I-129 petition that we applied for a change of status (COS).
a) How can we get the I-94 for this new H1 filed by Company B without leaving US? The H1 approval is valid from Oct.1, 2006 through Sep.30,2008.
My L1 & I-94 through Company A (for my L1-visa) is already expired & I'm staying here on L1-extension receipt which my Company A has filed.
b) Now, I've not yet received the extension approval since it is still in process, then what happens to the H1 approval obtained by Company B?
Which visa (L1 or H1) remains in effect in this situation? Can you please guide me what to do without leaving US?
