L1 to F2 Change of Status

I filed for Change of status with all the required documents. I should reach uscis by tomorrow. I am in very complicated situation.

My employer is sort of abusing my L1 visa. I am not doing any technical work and my company put in a project where there are unable to find any replacement. It is night shifts and sometimes they are keeping me in shift for 8-9 continious days with out any over pay. MY job is to pickup phone and look out for someone to help. I have no knowledge in the project and every one knows about it. I am very pissed and applied for F2 yesterday. MY wife will graduate soon and we have enough funds to support us

my questions.

1. My i94 is valid until nov 2012, can I quit my job after receiving application number?
2. Will I be out of status if I quit my job and my change of status gets rejected
3. chances of F2 rejections in general?

You qualify for an L-1 visa if you have been employed outside the U.S. as a manager, executive or person with specialized knowledge for at least one out of the past three years, and you are transferred to the U.S. to be employed in a similar position.

The job you described seems none of the category.

L-1 visa is dual intent, The Dept. of State has determined that if the L-1 obtained a change of status, the fact that s/he "is the beneficiary of an application for a preference status filed under section 204.
