Hi All,
I was on L1B visa and my wife was on L2 visa. She joined Company A in April 2005 (she had EAD) and then after few days Company A applied H1 (with COS) for my wife. In the meantime I applied for my F1 (with COS) in June 2005. My wife got approval (without new I94) on 10th aug and I got approval (with new I94) on 9th aug. My wife took non paid leave from Company A as she was not supposed to work from now on (after my F1 approval). Company A applied for ammended application for my wife and got approval with I94 on 5th dec. My wife started working with company A that same day. Now my question is that :-
1. If we both want to go to canada or mexico to get the visa stamping in feb then what is the risk involved as my wife will have 2 paystubs only (for H1). And she had this break because of status.
2. I have heard that they put lot of questions for L1/L2 people during stamping so is it better to go with attorney (who actually goes with you inside embassy during stamping)?
3. Which place from canada and mexico is better for us to go ?
