L1 Stamping from CANADA

I am in the USA on a L1-A VISA. My I-94 is valid until 2008 however my Visa stamped on the Passport has expired. While I understand that I can stay in the USA until the expiry of the I-94 (if not extended), however when I go out of the country, I will need a fresh VISA stamping on my Passport to enter US again.
The question is Can I get this VISA stamping done in Canada? Or do I have to travel to India and schedule an appointment etc. Pls advise.

I am right now in USA on B1. My company is applying for L1. If I get my L1 approved. Do I need to go back to India for stamping or I get my new I-94 along with my approved L1 petition. And whenever I visit India I get stamping done for L1 there?
