Looking for some clarification: please help.
I Entered USA in L1B in march 2004 and stayed till 2007 July. Left the US to India, but held a valid L1B till March 2008. While in India, I got a job offer and I accepted. New employer processed a H1B (petition date is in Sep 2007) and got stamping in DEC-2007. Again arrived in the US in Oct 2008. So, I was outside of the US for 13 months and I changed my Visa status during this period I was outside of the US.
Does this make my 6 year H1B clock reset? For the new H1B, can I get full six years?
