L1 extenstion processing time

Hi,
My L1 B blanket visa is getting expired on Sep 09 2011 andmy employer is filing my extension case tomorrow to Vermont visa centre.
Can somebody please guide me with how much time it is required generally for L1 B visa extension.

Hi prashc3,
Using Form I-539 you need to apply for extension 45 days prior to the expiry of the present status.USCIS will notify the applicants through a notification letter the approval. In 15days you should know the result.

My L1-A expires on 08/13/2011 and extension has been applied in the month of June 2011.
Can I continue to work & stay till I get my extension approved?
My I-94 expires on the same day as L1-A and do I go need to go back to get it updated?
