My L1 is expiring during Nov 2nd week and my company has applied for my extension. My current I-94 is upto Nov 15th and I have now received the notice of receipt from USCIS indicating my application has been accepted and is under process. However, I am facing a major issue with the DMV (NJ MVC) when I went to get my NJ driving license.The problem is receipt notice unfortunately doesn't say upto when my company has applied for my extension. Though I know that my company has applied for 2 year extension, DMV wants to know if I am legally allowed to work in US until I get the approval from USCIS. Now, I want to know if there is any law that states I have my L1 status until my petition is being processed even after Nov 15th? if so, upto when can I work/stay in US?
