My case in brief.
I came to USA in Oct-2007 on L1-B. Before coming I was working as a Team Leader/Project Leader in my parent organization for 3 years.
Irrespective of the position, I believe I was managing a very specific organization function related to Quality Management System. This is unique to our USA clients also for whom I am working now.
My initial L1-B petition expired in Jul-2009 with I-94 validity till Dec-2009.
I applied for extension in August and received new petition in Sep-2009 which is valid till Dec-2011.
I work with my USA division in similar function, now as a manager.
No one reports to me but I handle Strategies & Objectives Management at my organization. I also direct a very big group of people on business growth metrics.
My client here in USA whom I support partially also need a GC holder for the tasks which I doing with some limitations.
My company is trying to search for such an executive or professional with GC since last 4 months.
No luck.
I meet all the requirements expect GC to perform this job at client locations.
I proposed my HR to follow the path like L1-A & GC for me. Waiting for decision which might take another 2-3 months.
I wish to know the chances of getting it through in accordance to the process. Please help...
1] Can I get L1-A approved with all supporting evidences that I am falling in this category as my job is to manage a specific function which includes Strategies & Goals management?
2] I am sure that if my company approves this, they will support me to the last extent as they see lot of business growth in this.
3] If I get L1-A approved, do I need to go for VISA stamping?
4] If I submit my GC application in case L1-A is approved and VISA is stamped, can I make a short trip to India?
