Dear All:
I am on L-1B Visa (Intra-company Transfer-Blanket Petition) which is valid till November 2006 (I-94 also valid till November) with Company 'A'.
Company 'B' (a new employer) gave me a job offer and has filed for an L1B to H1B Visa transfer (a new H1-B-Change of Status) for fiscal year 2007, which if approved, makes me eligible to work for Company 'B' from October 1, 2006.
But my present employer (company A with whom I am on an L1-B) is sending me back to India by end of June due to various reasons.
Is there a way that I could transfer to some other visa category (example:- Visitor's Visa) for the period between July to October to somehow stay here in the US LEGALLY and thus avoid the hassle of going back to India and then appear for the new H1-B Visa interview (for H1-B of the new employer)?
And once my H1-B gets approved (here in the US-new I-797A) start working for new company A from October,1,2006?
Please Advise!
