L1-B to H1-B - Concerns while Stamping

Hi,

I am in US since last one and half year. Earlier I was on L1-B from Company A and got my H1-B approved from Company B. H1-B approval date was 1st Oct-2006 but due to some reasons I worked for Company A till 31st Oct-2006. I started my new assignment on 1st Nov-2006 with Company B. I am going to India for Visa stamping for H1-B on 20th Jan-2007.

Also my experience letter from Company A says I worked there till 31st Oct-2006.

Will there be any problems while stamping as I worked till 31st Oct-2006 with Company A even after H1-B approval?

Happy New Year

Thanks.

H1B approval doesn't automatically invalidate your previous L1-B. As long as you had valid L1-B till the time you worked for Company A(10/31/06), you are fine.

I got my visa status changed to H1 B on Oct 2nd 2006 from company B. And i continued to work for company A (L1B) till Oct 31 2006.

I want to ask whethar this can create any problem in visa stamping.

I had my L1 visa valid till 2008
