L1 and VWP Problems

Hi,

Can someone advise on the following:

I am a UK passport holder and I was arrested in 2005 for theft and found NOT guilty by a jury in Court in late 2005. I have since travelled to the US on the UK Visa Waiver Program (VWP) and have just started doing some research my company sponsored L1 and realised that I have potentially lied on the VWP form when it asks the following:-

Have you ever been arrested or convicted for an offence or crime involving moral turpitude or a violation related to a controlled substance; or been arrested or convicted for two or more offences for which the aggregate sentence to confinement was five years seeking entry to engage in criminal or immoral activities?

I understand that there is a very direct question on the L1 form or Ds-156 form that asks if you have ever been arrested and I know I have to tick yes to this. I have all the paper work showing that I was found not Guilty including a Police background check. However will I be denied a L1 and future entry into the US because I lied on the UK Visa Waiver question?

I would appreciate your help and advise.
