Ksusha, as you mentioned earlier about your Bio on Saturday how that turns out? Please keep me posted.

yes, I did, Atique! It took five minutes. I first thought USCIS made a mistake, but the office was indeed open. My appointment was at 8:00 am. When is yours?

Well what happened? Apparently they did not give the GC to you.
I check the ASC on the USCIS website. they are working Thusdays thru Saturdays and they are not open on Sundays and Mondays (I think most of them)

Could you please tell us exactly what happaned?
Thanks

No, Nas, this was just a bio code 2 appointment, signature and picture. I hope I will get my card soon. It was done at one of ASC centers, it was definitely open, I wasn't sleeping.

You are there girl !!!!

Mine is at 8:00 AM on 05/04. I belive that's Thursday. So what Jubilee/Grassroot mentioned is evidently wrong. ASC don't issue plastic right after BIO. But 14ksusha, you'll be receiving your plastic within a week or max two weeks. Also please let me know if you notice any LUD change this Monday or so on? Even no LUD change just don't worry at all. I'm pretty sure your plastic is just knocking at the door. Keep me posted.

I think they will issue a GC at ASC in certain situations. Probably some of the ASC are capable of issueing GC and some are not.
I just got a LUD change on Friday and hopefully I will get the notice soon.
Atique I am wonder why they schedule your BIO so late?
Good Luck man.

Nasr, didn't quite get your question. What did you mean they schedule my Bio so late? You still haven't received yours yet. Now if your question relates why I received the letter but the date on May 04 then I must say it depends on ASC's schedule or how busy they are. When an IO thinks an applicant needs a Bio he proceed that to ASC & ASC schedules the applicant as their time frame. By the way it sure seems good that you just had a LUD change. Something must coming up for you soon. Good luck.
Atique.

Here it comes! I got an e-mail (actually four of them, all duplicates) that my plastic had been mailed. It's the countdown now! After waiting for 15 years, I am afraid I am going to have a heart attack when I actually see it. I am not that young anymore!

Congrats 14ksusha. That's awesome. You deserve this. I told that you will be receiving your plastic right after your Bio. Now check your mail box in daily basis & enjoy your freedom which is long past due.
I hope I'll get that right after my Bio too. Allthough i'm bit scared to expect anything good or be hopeful from USCIS but lets see how it turns out at last.

Congrats, it is a very good message. Probably the best message that you have ever got from USCIS.
I am still waiting for BIO apoointment and have not got anything yet. I know it will take them another 30 days to figure where is my application. It's all good no complains.
I am happy for you and will wait for atique to get his. Let us know what is happeneing to yours.Good Luck

You'll get your appointment very soon.

Finally

I got the same e-mail yesterday, and I went for the appointment on 04/22/06 just a standard BIO 2 index finger and photo.

You'll get the card within a week max. May I ask you what was the exact message they mailed you. Just curious.

Well, it's here!!! I came home from work and ran to the mailbox. There was one single letter in a white envelope, looked like a credit card invitation or more like a collection agency note. Nothing about DHS or USCIS. I almost gasped in dissappointment when I noticed the return address was POB 12345, Nebraska. Still, I didn't feel any plastic inside. Finally, I opened it and there it was inside, neatly hidden. My name, my pretty face, backdated correctly, not burned, not mutilated. Looks kind of funny (and so easy to lose!!...I ain't putting it in my wallet), hard to believe it took 15 years to get this little thing. When you get yours, Atique, we'll have a party.

Congrats 14Ksusha

I Hope I Get Mine Tomorow Too, When Did They Thake Your Fingerprints

God, what a relief. I'm really happy 14ksusha. Finally you are no longer in that uncertanity. I understand being approved was great but without the card it's like you being called a millionare but no money in the bank.
Regardless what others say I don't think all this long journey never ends without the plastic on hand.
Well, mine is on the way hopefully. Coming Thursday I'll go for the Bio & if everything is OK another week from that I perhaps could see that white simple envelope with that precious plastic in my mail box.
Time for a party for you 14ksusha. I bet you'll have the best weekend this week. A plastic is very precious that we people know since we been through a whole lot in backhome (COP) & also waiting years & years not knowing what's next.
Life is good. Enjoy every bit of it.
Thanks for keep me posted. I sure appreciate all your responses. I must let you know my stuff.
Atique.
