Kids live with their mother (wife) overseas

Hi,

A friend, ask me about filling the N-400, Part 9. Information about your children.

He has 3 Children live with their mother (wife) overseas, since he can not bring them here, live in USA until he get Naturalization and apply for them Immigration visa Green Card.

The question:
In column "current address" he write "with me" or the "overseas address"?

Is this will be an issue for him to prove financial support if he write "the overseas address"?

If they live overseas, then he needs to write the overseas address. Absolute truthfulness is the most important aspect of the process.

And, yes, I believe he'll need to show he supports his kids (but I have no experience here).

Is a statement letter from his wife stat that he is supporting his family financially all the time, is it enough as evidence?
