What if we support Kennedy-Mc Cain Immigration proposal and it passes in the Senate, and the Sensenbreaner's anti-immigration freak passed in the House, then they have to go to Reconciliation process again?

That would be a nightmare !
Would you like to live in a country where Sensenbrenner's project has so
many acolytes?
I seriously doubt!

That's why I plan to keep my links - professional and personal - open with my home country, India.

A lot of us on this forum are from India. We are blessed that we are from a country where opportunities are expanding, and where our US experience is valued. It would be very bad to come from a country where there are no prospects if one is forced to return in case US becomes unfriendly to immigrants.
 
archkre.....as far as i know....sensenbreaner is targeting illegal immigrant or law breaking immigrants..........why are you so consumed with this issue.....

i understand that things are fucked up bad time.....but thats just demand and supply.....we are too much in demand...and we are cheap (i can supply a truck load of Hi tech guys every month if required....)

all i can say is try to plan based on your option......i can understand that you may be considering to go out of status and continue living in usa......becos u dont want to go to another country....
 
Why can't you understand that for people like Sensenbrener or alike it is
absolutely irrelevant if you have your immigration papers in order or not!
They are just anti-immigrant, period!
They want you out, in status or out of status. :eek:

I think Techy does not get it. He/she thinks that Congressmen such as Sensenbrenner like legal imig, but this is not true. He does not care as archkre points out.

What they are doing is trying to kick out all illegal imigs, and also make it very very difficult for legal imigs to get GC.

Conservative Republicans dont want any immigrants - legal or illegal. At best all they will support is the H1-B temporary visa program since business interests, which fund these politicians, want a cheap source of temp foriegn workers.

We are on our own when it comes to GC/US citizenship. Big Companies will not support us. That is why I say that we should align ourselves together with illegal imig supporters and fight together
 
Please never ever try to attach with ilegal group of people or organizer. It would be sucidal act.

This is Universal truth; No one can justify ilegal immigrant
