keeping pr valid

dear friends,
i was told that after landing in canada to keep the pr card valid i have to spend the min 2.5 years in canada out of 5 years so can any one tell as how to spend this min 2.5years period
* it should be ok if i spend it in small breaks within 5 years?
* from the day of first entry in canada within how many months/years i have to enter again in canada to keep the pr card valid or is it compulsary to visit once in a year for the first 5 years?
* can i spend the last 2.5 years of this 5years period in canada to keep the card valid from the date of first entry?

Permanent Residency Obligations

You must accumulate two years of physical presence in Canada in every five-year period.
