I am a US citizen. I am bringing my wife here from India under the K3 visa.
Our 129F got approved and NVC forwarded it to Mumbai.
What are the next steps?
Its been almost 3 weeks now and she still hasn't received a letter from Mumbai consulate.
Should I send her the required documentation (listed on state.gov) and tell her to get medical/police records? Then, should she schedule an appointment with VFS?
Also, is she considered a immigrant or non immigrant through the K3? I always see K3 listed under the non immigrant.
K3 is temporary non immigrant visa she can use to come to the US. Then she has to file another form to convert to immigrant status (green card) once she is in the US? (or wait till I130 gets approved) Is that how it works?
