Is there any problem with filing for an I-130 and K1 when the US citizen is living outside the US?
My girlfriend and I will, at the time we file, both be living in Australia. After the K1 is approved we will move together to the US, get married, and stay there (and apply for the adjustment of status).
I understand that the Affidavit of support requires the sponsor to live in the US, but I am hoping there's no reason why they can't live elsewhere before we get married.
