Hi guys,
Ok I have a problem, I've looked through the forum for other posts that might answer this but everyone's situation was different. I am a U.S. Citizen and have lived most of my life here. I am going to India in a few months to become engaged. My problem is, I am completely new to all of this visa/immigration stuff and I'm not sure if I should have my fiance apply for a fiance visa or a spouse visa. I would prefer not to have a registered marraige in India but if getting a spouse visa means my fiance will be able to come to the U.S. faster then that's what i'm going to have to do. However, I've heard from some people that it is a lot faster to come on a fiance visa. I would like to complete whatever paperwork necessary while I'm in India just to get the process started as soon as possible. My question is..should I go for the fiance or spouse visa? Which one will get my fiance here the quickest? Where in India do I need to go? I have not been to India in several years so any advice would be extremely helpful. Thanks!!!
