I urgently need your help for a very different kind of case.
My sister was married in india (registered) and then she came to the US on a K1 visa. After coming to the US, her husband has simply refused to honor the contract and go for a registered marriage in the US.
She is in a very difficult situation and needs your help so that people here do not take advantage of the innocent girls from India and elsewhere in the world, who get married to people here and findthemselves cheated and stuck in limbo for no fault of their own.
She is still 'in status' but has very little time at hand. It would help a lot if you let us know of the options and rights she has as a K1 visa holder and what is the right thing to do.
