I arrived in the US in June, 2002 on a K-3 Visa. (It is a temporary visa granted to spouses waiting for the I-130 approval). I have since applied for the adjustment of status and EAD (Around Oct, 2002)
I have had one fingerprint appoinment in Jan 2003.
I received another notice this time from the local Arlington, VA processing center to get another fingerprint in July, 2003. I am assuming the first one was for EAD and the second one for the 485. ( I don't quite know why this was requested twice!)
1. Does anyone have an idea how long it takes for the green card, given that I had my fingerprinting in July, 2003. I am specifically interested in the Arlington, VA Processing center.
2. I have plans to travel overseas in Nov, 2003. Would it be unwise to make such plans (is the green card interview really round the corner?)
