Just wondering what this email means

I just got a notice through email saying that "On September 10, 2005, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case."
I am just wondering if it's going to be another long wait. i have already waited for 4 years till now and i was hoping to get it soon after the new settlement.

APPROVED JUL 21 2000
ND: NOV 14 2001
FP : JULY 2004
RFI : AUG 5 2005 MEDICAL
Notice Recieved from USCIS: SEP 11 2005
 
I got the same message too after submitting my RFI and was approved a few months later - pay no attention to the 570 to 600 days on that message.
 
Thanks for the bright Hope. It has been a looooooong wait for most of us. It's been a hard to plan my life better due to the wait.

That message is a standard format. You will get approved soon, in time for the Habesha Millenium.

Konjit: I second Besu. It means you are almost there. Few more months. Good luck and best wishes in what you do next. You have persevered and dealt with the INS. Very few other encounters in America will parallel that horror. As one learned person said: YAGERACHIN MAZEGAGIA BET ENKUAN TESHASHILOAL.

It is good to know that someone with such a strange Name is YERASE SEGA & DEM !!!

I am dreaming to be in Sheger for ADDISU MILLENIUM!!!!!! that is why. The way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes that long to get my GC.
