From my timeline, you can see I'm relatively slow on getting GC.
The local DO is quite small, i guess that's why they don't process a lot of cases. So I went to my interview not until April, 7 months after I filed everything w/o RFE.
The interview didn't go well, as I described in my previous post:
The immigration officer showed concern about my not sharing the same household with my husband. I told him, it's only temperary because I have to finish my Ph.D before I move to my husband's. He seemed not convinced, and asked why my husband couldn't just move to where I live, which is a very small town with few job opportunities. He then asked if the different education background would be a problem for our marriage.
At the end, he said he couldn't approve my 485 yet. I should wait. I was quite upset on the way home, and didn't know what to do. thanks to the people here for encouraging words. I got email saying I was approved both 130 and 485 today.
