about FP notices for ND:10/00 while I didn\'t get with a ND:10/19/1999.

She told me there are two ways they call applicants for FP. One is like my case where they send our FP notice just before they are ready to approve my case. The other way is to send FP notice as soon as they receive the I-485 application. She told me the problem with the second approach is they may have to get their FP\'s again if their application does not get approve in 15 months after the FP Done date. In may case she said I will have to do it only once as I probably will not have to wait that long to get my application approved.

She also said they are right now doing 09/99 and I should expect my FP notice date in the next few months(whenever that will be).

Can\'t wait to get done with this 4 1/2 year ordeal.

PD: 08/96 (which was mistyped as 08/1886 on my I-140)
After getting I-140 approved Changed the job and used the above PD in my current job after getting a new Labor Certification.
Lawyer lost the I-140 approval received for the new job. Had to re-apply which delayed me from being around ND: 05/99 to 10/99.

Now my company got bought by another one. Changed the name and TAX ID.

Don\'t know what will happen if I get an RFE. My lawyer does not see the need to apply for an ammended I-140 until INS asks for it.

Hope to finish it all smoothly. Currently used up all my 6 years of H-1 and working on my second EAD.

Very very frustrating because no ones knows what the HELL is going on at VSC. They moved from 02/99 to 07/99 in about 4 months and can\'t move from 08/99 to 10/99 for the last 10 months or so.

Well, I can understand your frustration, but it will be in YOUR best interests to apply for an amended I-140. Your lawyer may not be too interested, but it is probably better to talk to your employer and convince them that applying for one is the best course of action. At best, it can potentially save you a lot of time and (further) aggravation and the worst is that you loose a couple of hundred dollars...
