We just called the INS regarding the FP notice. The IIO looked at our files and said that our FPs have been ordered in 2001, however, the FP notices have not been sent out to us yet. She made an entry in the report to her supervisor regarding this. It seems the FPs can be ordered only once for each case and hence the report to the supervisor to look at the case.
She also said that most of the cases from 2001 are in the same status and that things are at a standstill expect for EADs and APs. This is because the system is transitioning between department of justice and homeland security.... She expected our case to be in status quo until March.
She was very polite and helpful. The wait on the phone was less than 10 min.
