Something strange happened when I filed my I-140/I-485 and EAD with NSC:
The NSC sent the application back to my lawyer's office and as per my lawyer, there was "confusion regarding the proper employer address as it relates to the proper filing location". My job location for the petition is Kansas whereas I am currently located in the Baltimore MD, area. My Company's headquarters are in Baltimore with a branch in Kansas.

My lawyer promptly filed the case again with the necessary clarifications about the job location.
My LC clearly states the job location as Kansas as does all the other documentation.
Result:I have lost almost 14 vital days because of some moron smoking crack at USCIS and not reading the application properly.

If anyone has a case like mine be sure to mention this to your lawyer.

Also, my lawyer had sent the applcation on Dec 2, 2003, I have not recieved any receipt yet. Is that normal?

Thanks

Is it normal?

Guys:

Is it normal for the filing receipt for the above mentioned applications to take more than 2 weeks to be issued?

TIA
