Hi,
I recently recieved my green card through marriage with my wife who is a US citizen. We had always thought of settling here and even just bought a new condo last year.
But recently, I have a very good job opportunity with a firm based in San Francisco. However, they would want to post me to their new office in Singapore to be on the core team to head up the firm. I also happen to be a citizen of Singapore which is why the firm is also very interested in me to help them develop their office there.
I have read the article in the FAQ about "maintaining ties" etc within the US. I really do not wish to loose my green card status but also don't want to pass up this very good career opportunity. Is there any proactive filing procedure on my end that I can do to establish my case with the relevant authorities?
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks much in advance.
