I just got FP notice in Ft' Lauderdale, FL, and FPs are scheduled on 7/2/03 when i will be out of the country. Can I go there earlier, maybe one week early and with my FP notice, and do FP's. Are there any risks associated with going there early. Just wanna hear your oppinion.

I tried to do early FP in Miami but the officer at local INS did not allow me. He told me that I could do it within three months after the scheduled date. I have a friend that did it 84 days after the scheduled date and had no problem.

If I were you, I would try to go before the date and if they don’t let you do it, I would reconfirm if you could do them after the scheduled date.

In my opinion there is no problem in doing it before the scheduled date. Lots of people have done it and I have not heard any problem. Also, it would be a good idea to consult with your lawyer.

One weel earlier should be OK

My wife's FP was 20 days after mine, but I just took my wife with me just incase if they accepted her,and the person sitting at the entrance said that they usually accept people within one week of their notice but not 20 days and he asked me to request the supervisor if it was possible and when i asked the supervisor she did accept hers too and they have been accepted by the FBI I have checked. So I think you should not have a problem and FYI it was in MIAMI.
