The INS officer did not bother to put a date of entry stamp on my passport.
But he did after I asked for one. But My co-worker got a passport stamp
anyway even without asking for it. So I guess it is not mandatory to put
or not to put a stamp on PRs' passport at entering from Canada.
I asked this once and got teh answer but I forgot what it is.
What does "ARC" stand for at the "until" item of that stamp?
When we entered Canada, an American coworker was
asked to go home to get his passport or birth ertificate.
He said he did not forget it but just did not know
that he needed these documents
I guess that many Americans don't have concept of
needing a passport or citizenship proof to go outside
