This thing is getting ridiculous. Every time you call NCSC they keep asking you to check back in x months where x >= 2. I had received a written response from USCIS on 10/27/03 to my inquiry that I should hear from them within 30 to 60 days. Today they tell me that those are just estimated waiting times and that I should wait for another 2 months before calling back.
I also checked the status on my AP renewal (RD 11/05/03). Same story there too. He asked me to wait for 2 months. Sounds like 2 months has become their standard reply.
