Just by Filing AR11 can I get plastic card at my new address

Hi Folks

Please help!!!!

I am moving from OH to NJ
My passport is stamped and I am waiting for plastic card.
I am planning to file AR-11.
My Q is: Do I need to file AR-11 only or do I need to do something else also

Any suggestions please

Filing AR-11 means nothing...., USCIS will not come to know of your change of address...., You need to call 800 number and inform them regarding you move...
 
Send a G731 tooo

I had filed my AR11 towards end of Jan 2004. I had my passport stamped on Oct 24 2003 ( at Columbus, OH ). I called the National Customer Service. They asked me to send a G731( Case Status Enquiry for I551). Not sure if that is going to help or not. I just filled out page two and have mailed it.
 
questions of AR-11

Hi everyone,
We are going to change our address (between May 25 and June 1st). My understanding is

1.
Send both the AR-11 forms (me and my wife) to
U.S. Department of Homeland Security
USCIS
Change of Address
P.O. Box 7134
London, KY 40742-7134

2. I and my wife will call the National Customer Service Center to update our address by phone.

Can you please tell me what else I need to do to make sure everything will be taken care of? My wife just filed renewal of her EAD (ND April 12). Can she get the EAD at the new address?

By the way, what should I put in for field
"I AM IN THE UNITED STATES AS:"? Employee or worker or something else?

Some more questions.

Is this required -- "(IF ABOVE ADDRESS IS TEMPORARY) I expect to remain there months years"? I don't know how long I will stay at my new address.

Based on what should I fill in for this "IF NOT A PERMANENT
RESIDENT, MY STAY IN THE U.S. EXPIRES ON: (Date)"?
