Every thing in this GC process has a validy period.
Like Biometrics .. finger printing etc etc.

As the Long wait continues people are going in for multiple Biometrics ... thru the wait ...

Does the background checks and Name checks also have a validity period.

Say ones checks are completed and is waiting for visa number ... but this wait spans many years ... do they do the CHECKS all over again...

Just a question -- nothing else to do in this virtual waiting hall.

I had read once on this forum (long time back) that the name check also has a validity of 15 months same as your FP. The author stated that after first FP expires and next one is taken then ckecks using FP and Name check are repeated again. Author also mentioned that the First FP + Name check clearance takes the longest time but, the subsequent ones do not take that much of time as there is some automated process (I don't know what kind of process it is).
