Just a few questions...........

Last week I received a note from the local office stating that I needed to stop by and have them take my I-89 and photos. There were no further instructions.

I filed my I-485 2.5 yrs ago and I'm not certain whether this infers that my application was approved.

Questions:
1 - What does this mean? Do I get a stamp?

2 - Shall we (my husband and I) be interviewed even though there was no indication of this on the note?

3 - If I get the stamp, can I use it to renew my driver's license (DL)? Apparently, in Colorado your DL is renewed annually in accompaniment with your EAD.

Uhmm interesting, the I-89 must be fill out by them and is to order the green card, that is my understanding after search the internet.
Your I-485 was based in family (your husband)?

I don't know if you will get the stamp but seems like that be or what but definetly is not the interview notice (which answer my first question that probably you are family based). In any case is wise to go with your husband and take your documents with you (just in case). I found this in a website:

A205 At the time when one goes to receive the I-551 (green card) stamping of an I-485 approval, the USCIS Officer will fill out the I-89 Form, which is a request put in for the green card to be made by the Service Center. Please note the USCIS Officials are responsible in filling out this form and submitting it to the Service Center.

If you get the stamp you can renew your DL as a permanent resident and can be given for more years.
