Once you told that kids can get EAD and thus SSN#. I have to get SSN# for my daughter. I would like to apply for EAD for my daughter. But my question is: Kids are not allowed to work (11 yrs old), why will they issue EAD for the kids? Should I have to show any reason or just the I-765 form?

I have to apply in the local INS since my case has been transferred.

You dont have to show any reason, I got EAD for my kids last year, I applied thru my Lawyer, and had no problems, INS and SSA are aware, that kids cannot work, but still do need SS # to establish credit, bank accounts, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance etc etc.

So dont worry buddy you should be able to get EAD and SSN for your daughter.
