July RD\'s Expect your approval\'s only after another 6 more months
Reason:
when I applied in july 2001, March/April applicants were getting their approvals.
Today still March/April applicants are getting.
Unless INS approves some may RD\'s in the next two weeks my personal view
is that it will take nothing less than 6 months to get the approval for July RD\'s
Still! I hope some miracle happens and Wish you all Good Luck

Agree! July guys, relax and have fun! Don\'t bother to worry about your approval within 6 months.

Yes, you may be correct...

Specially, keep in mind that effective July 1, 2001 all EB Catagories became current. And there were tons of Applications filed within the month.. So, I agree, July RD approval is ATLEAST 6 months away...

Relax Guys. Have fun.. Donot take it too hard.

henrysh, you somehow seem gleeful at the prospect. Not too nice of you.

I just hope that you don\'t get an RFE and then have your case transferred. Then you really would have to worry about your approval for 6 months or more. Again, JULY RD guys hoping for approval ASAP does not in any way delay your processing. Wish you speedy approval.

Karunesh, I agree with you that a slew of applications...

were mailed in JULY because EB3 categories became current for every body in that month. But, that only means that AUG RD and later folks will have to wait that much longer. If you are a JULY RD case everything depends on where in this big volume of July applications your case lies. It depends on date of assignment, speed and style of processing of the officer and the completeness of your aplication. If you mean that the last JULY RD case is atleast 6 months away from approval, you may be right. But, the first of the JULY RD cases may be as close as 2 or 3 months. What do you think?

julyi485, actually I remember that DEC/JAN cases were being...

processed at the time I mailed my application in July. I remember this because I was tracking a close friends case who had applied in NOV 2000. He got an RFE and was eventually approved in late AUG this year. At that time they were processing FEB/MAR cases. The processing went fairly quickly until RD of APRIL 10. After that there was a long quiet period when there were no approvals.

Don\'t act too smart coz you applied in April, okay buddy!

Who are you to tell July filers to relax
and not to worry for next 6 months?

I don\'t like your habbit of acting smart
in public mailing lists (including your
employers\' eb3eb2 list).

Okay buddy, so don\'t do this in future.
If you have insight into some issue, offer
it without making fun of others or attacking
others religion. Okay buddy?

I wish everybody a speedy approval.

PS I\'m not a July filer. Filed in April
with PD 04/98.

I am neither optimistic nor a pessimistic, but realistic who speaks based on statistics :-)

Dee Rod buddy, you have to accept the bloody reality, that INS has slowed down the I-485 processing so much after the 9.11 disaster. Check with Ciba\'s site, tell me the approval rate of RD-Mar/Apr cases, can you? Let\'s face the fact. Let\'s work hard to delight our bosses :-)

I\'m an engineer, not an agigator; I\'m an scientist guy, not an entertainer. Please correct me with but statistics.

I know you are MAY RD, I was just responding to your post with...

my thoughts. BTW, My AVM changed on 12/27 to "resumed". That message only means that now the case is adjudication-ready. It may or may not be assigned yet. Assignment will happen on month of RD. Since, approval is based on Month of RD, you will see approval much before JULY RD folks like me who may have done their FP\'s earlier and whose cases may be adjudication-ready earlier than yours. I was just saying that 6 months did not seem realistic for ALL JULY RD folks. But who knows with INS.

henrysh my buddy, Hypothesis backed by facts is exactly what I am looking for, not just rhetoric...

which you seem to dish out in plenty. Both julyi485 and Karunesh had some facts/observations behind their statements. You on the other hand did not add any wisdom and seemed to just be crowing. Get with the program my friend.

It depends on when we start seeing May approvals.

My guess is that, once we see "may" approvals then July will not be far away as I feel there were very few filers in "May" and "June" (only EB2 filers at that time!).

JUST BEING OPTIMISTIC :)

BVM, you are absolutely correct, You would not see many EB3 cases from India in...

MAY or JUNE. I do not remember if EB3 was current for China at that time. I may be wrong, but I have noticed that most EB cases from China are EB2. Therefore, once we see steady MAY RD approvals, JULY RD cases assignment is not too far away.

Is there really a logical explanation to the approval process???

Statistics are nice too look at but ultimately all
that matters is what happens to your case.
Do not mean to be selfish just being truly honest.

July RD applicants just hope (thats all you can really do
after you submit your application) that your case gets
approved fast.

Thanks to Ciba,Mighty count and PCee we have excellent data
that included RD,ND,EB category, location.
I have an April RD and have seen cases after me get
approved a long time ago. These included people with that were
from the same country as I am, an EB3 category (mine is EB2),
and same location.
Would\'nt it be great to have a logical explanation to understand
why things like this happen.

Best of luck to all of us!!!

I said, check with Ciba\'s site for approval rate ...

And as you can see it has moved very slow for months!
Are you in Bay Area Dee Rod? Let\'s bet for a lunch.
My case is with RD on Apr/23 and ND on 06/21. I expect to receive
my approval after March. What\'s your estimate?

Let me make it clear: I don\'t think I can get my case approved before the midnight of March 31st. If fortunately I got it before that date, I buy Dee Rod lunch if he lives in Bay Area, otherwise, Dee Rod will buy me lunch. And I prefer Korean Palace BBQ buffet on the Camino Creek. Further, families should be included. You buy me lunch means you buy me and my wife lunch. I buy you lunch means I buy you and your wife lunch, and if you have kids, bring them in too!

And how about we hold an all-hands diner for all of Bay Area GC-waiters on this BBS?!

Prepare a tag for everyone, with his nickname on it. Well, if you want, you can put more on it, such as RD, ND, PD, FP, etc ... We eat, drink and complain, having fun! We can be the happiest group!

Let me share with you my ideology: everything is like a coin, with obverse and reverse sides. No right, no wrong. No good, no bad. The biggest enemy of you is not INS, but yourself :-) You conquer yourself, you conquer everything.

Very well said henerysh!

Don\'t worry
Be Happy

July Filers, you guys need to wait a little longer.

Pump & Henrysh

July Freinds in here are desperate, Frustusted but they do not wish that they get their approvals before April, May, June Filers
instead they wish all of us get ASAP.

my rd is july

yes - i wish that INS was more systematic in the approval process. I wish that they would complete Jan then feb then march and so on
or have a very good reason for Jan cases pending (rfe or interview or agency checks pending)

It makes no sense that INS has started a sprinkle of May and june rd cases without completing most of March and April cases

Hope INS is more systematic
