When did you pass your interview? If it was recently and you needed to travel for couple weeks, you can go. By the time you come back, your Oath letter won't be in your box yet.

Yeah, it takes that long. I have been waiting since January 24.

I am actually in Texas. I have the dates of the scheduled ceremonies for Dallas. I just need them to invite me for one of such ceremonies.

UC2012, I think Dallas and Ft Worth may be using same court for the Oath Ceremony:

Baltimore Judicial Oath

Could you share with us about your wait time for the ceremony? and did you receive the court order of name change at the time of ceremony or it came in mail?

The name change timeframe really depends on where you live. I also had a name change and when The IO approved my case she gave me the congratulation letter and told me I would have to wait 6 to 8 week since a name change request needs to be acknowledged by a judge in a court house. Much to my surprise I ended having my oath only 3 weeks after the interview. I am from NY by the way.

You are gonna have to be a bit patient now. Maryland is a much smaller state than NY so I don't think there are many ceremonies like the one you have to go to.

The official court calendar means nothing.
Yesterday I had an interview at 11:12 am and soon after I was invited to take the oath @ 2:00PM even though the Baltimore court calendar has no ceremony listed for the next few weeks.

The interview as rigorous though but I was up to the task. I cannot believe that the IO was comparing my answers to what I mentioned in my original asylum application 13 years ago !
