Journal Reviewer

I read many threads in this forum where people have mentioned that they got chance as being a journal reviewer just by writing to the editors. I also tried the same, so far without any luck. I was wondering if someone experienced can give me an idea or name of the journals ( my field is biochemistry, cancer, molecular biology) which are relatively easy to apply to and do accept postdocs as reviewers. Thanks

I will appreciate if someone could really guide me how to become a reviewer for a scientific journal in Biology field. Thanks in advance

If you're a post-doc then tell your Ph.D. adviser (for whom you don't work anymore, I assume) to list you as a recommended reviewer in his next manuscript. The journal editor might then ask you to do it.

Along that line, I was asked to review some manuscripts for a conference (it requires full length papers to be submitted). Does this count as review experience?
