Photos, joint lease/mortage, marriage cert, utility bills in both names, if you took holidays together plane tickets/receipts etc, joint bank account statements, joint health insurance, if you made big purchases for your home receipts of these items e.g. Television. Thats just some stuff you could bring theres plenty more stuff that im sure other people will highlight.
Eiredpf is right also chect the list below, the more you give is better.
1. Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or
2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or
3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financial resources; or
4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, the petitioner, and your spouse together; or
5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bonafides of the marital relationship (Each affidavit must contain the full name and address, date and place of birth of the person making the affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner of beneficiary, if any, and complete information and details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge of your marriage); or
6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that there is an ongoing marital union.

What does this mean?

Also, should I use any witness of the marriage like the guy who does the ceremony? I am not sure what to ask for, and also friends who will be coming to our receptions?

It means that you have to show that husband & wife has joint bank accounts, (Saving or Checking) and/or joint Master or Visa Cards or anything that will show that you all pool up money and do things together, like paying bills ,car payments, insurance payment, rent payment etc.
And yes, you should get people who know you all and witness the marriage to sign affidavit and send that too with your application, i will say get about four or five from family and friends.

I just called the utilities place and they said the only name that shows on the bill will be me and not my wife. But her names shows as second person in the database. Hm.. did you guys encounter this issue? they said they cannot make both names show on the bill.

when they mean joint utility bill.its means,same address you having the gas and she has the water for the same address,the only bill stuff that can have both name is only bank statement and lease agreement. i hope this clarify you
