Joint sponsor question

Hello guys,
I have a joint sponsor who's asking about her responsibility as a sponsor, she wants to know if she is financially responsible for me(immigrant) ONLY or she is also responsible for my USC husband(primary sponsor) too? For whatever reason that my husband's finances go downhill, does the gov't go after the joint sponsor?
Any info is greatly appreciated.

The "sponsor" (even if is joint) is financially responsible for "you" (the immigrant) NOT your USC husband.

Yes, in some cases, the goverment will go after your sponsors if you are ever to use goverment welfare...

The responsability of the sponsors expire when you became a USC.

or when you have been working as a resident for 10 years (and paying social security tax)
