Joint Naturalization application

Hello there,

I have a quick question about the N-400 application process. My wife and I have had the green card for over 5 years and are planning to apply for naturalization.

Question is if it is possible for both of us to apply together in the same application (and therefore with one fee), or do we need to apply independently (just like any two unrelated persons).

Just to add to what Samir had mentioned, this is the process to get Citizenship for two separate people (not family) whether related or not. No question at all.

And, for what it's worth...

If you apply separately, and one of you gets stuck in some USCIS processing, the other will continue. At least with us, we were very happy that my wife's processing didn't get caught up in mine and she was able to take the oath 6 months earlier than me.
