if i claim unemployment benefits.recently i go laid off.i got my green card 9months back.please throw some light.
 
but this link says there will be some troubles

Unemployment benefit is like claiming insurance.
Every employer pays insurance to the state and in
case the company lays off people, the company
provides the list of people to the state.

So you are not a burden to the country when you
claim unemployment. It is the money collected
from your employer and you claim it like an
insurance policy. The state does not spend any
money from the tax money it receives.
